Stay focused on what matters.

You only get an alert when someone you're waiting for responds.

  • Watch specific people

Add the senders or threads you're waiting to hear from.

  • Notified only when they reply

One quiet push. Everything else stays in the inbox.

  • Private by design

Headers only. Never your message bodies.

  • Reclaim your time

    Stop checking. Start doing.

How it works

Three steps. Then close the tab.

OnWatch keeps watching on our servers — your browser doesn't need to stay open.

  1. 01 · Connect Gmail securely

Sign in with Google. We never see or store your password.

  2. 02 · Choose who you're waiting on

Type an address, a whole @domain, or pick a recent conversation. Name it “Interview Decision”.

  3. 03 · Get one quiet notification

When they reply, your desktop pings. Click it and the email opens in Gmail.

Browser extension

A gentle nudge when you open Gmail out of habit.

The OnWatch extension shows a small card reminding you it's already watching, so you can close the tab and get back to work. It never reads your email.

Get it from Microsoft Edge Add-ons

Built to know as little as possible.

We request Gmail's narrowest monitoring permission and store only what's needed to tell you someone replied.

  • Metadata-only Gmail access — no message bodies, no attachments
  • Notifications show the watch name, not the email content
  • OAuth tokens encrypted at rest, never sent to the browser
  • Disconnect anytime. Delete everything in one click.

FAQ

Is OnWatch an email client?
No. You can't read or send mail here. OnWatch only tells you when a specific reply has arrived, then sends you to Gmail.
Does my browser need to stay open?
No. Monitoring runs on our servers using Gmail's push notifications. Browser push arrives even when the OnWatch tab is closed (your browser itself must be running).
Is it free?
Yes. The core product — watches, alerts and push notifications — is free.
Which email providers are supported?
Gmail and Google Workspace today.
Is there a browser extension?
Yes. It's live on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store now, and the Chrome Web Store version is in review. It's optional and only shows a reminder card when you open Gmail.
