Terms of Service
Effective October 31, 2026
These terms govern your use of OnWatch, including the website and web app at onwatch.tech and the OnWatch browser extension (together, "OnWatch"). OnWatch is operated by KMG Equity LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using OnWatch, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use OnWatch.
What OnWatch does
OnWatch notifies you when the senders or conversations you choose receive a new reply in your Gmail account. It is not an email client: it cannot read message bodies or attachments, and it cannot send, change or delete your mail.
Your account
- You must be able to form a binding contract and use OnWatch in compliance with the laws that apply to you.
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
Gmail access
When you connect Gmail, you authorize OnWatch to use Google's gmail.metadata permission to read message metadata (such as sender, subject, labels and thread IDs) solely to provide OnWatch's features, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect Gmail in Settings or revoke access from your Google Account permissions at any time. Your use of Gmail remains subject to Google's own terms.
Notifications are not guaranteed
Notifications travel through Google's Gmail push service and your browser vendor's push service, and depend on your device, browser and network. We work to deliver every alert promptly, but we can't guarantee that every notification will arrive, or arrive on time. Don't rely on OnWatch as your only way of learning about messages that are urgent, time-sensitive or safety-critical.
Price
OnWatch's core features (watches, alerts and push notifications) are currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will show you the price and terms before you are charged, and you will only pay for something you choose to buy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access, or try to access, another person's account or data;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt OnWatch, or bypass its security or usage limits;
- copy, scrape, or reverse engineer OnWatch, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
- use OnWatch to break the law or to violate Google's terms or anyone else's rights.
Browser extension
The OnWatch extension is optional. It is covered by these terms and by the terms of the store you install it from (such as Microsoft Edge Add-ons or the Chrome Web Store).
Ending your use
You can stop using OnWatch at any time. In Settings you can disconnect Gmail, delete your data, or permanently delete your account; deletion takes effect immediately. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, or when needed to protect OnWatch, its users or others, or to comply with the law. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of OnWatch.
Ownership
The OnWatch software, name and logo belong to KMG Equity LLC. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use OnWatch while you follow them. Your email and the information you add to OnWatch stay yours.
Third-party services
OnWatch relies on services we don't control, including Google (Gmail and Google Cloud Pub/Sub), browser push services, our hosting provider and our database provider. We aren't responsible for their availability or conduct.
Disclaimers
OnWatch is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that OnWatch will be uninterrupted, error-free or always delivered on time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, KMG Equity LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data, including anything resulting from a missed or delayed notification. Our total liability for any claim relating to OnWatch is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for OnWatch in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use OnWatch after a change means you accept the updated terms.
