About OnWatch

OnWatch tells you when the specific people you're waiting on reply in Gmail, so you can close your inbox and get on with your day. Everything else stays quiet.

Why it exists

Waiting on one important reply, like an interview decision or a client's answer, turns into checking your inbox again and again. OnWatch watches for that reply on your behalf and sends one quiet notification when it arrives.

How it works

• Connect Gmail securely: Sign in with Google. We never see or store your password.
• Choose who you're waiting on: Type an address, a whole @domain, or pick a recent conversation. Name it “Interview Decision”.
• Get one quiet notification: When they reply, your desktop pings. Click it and the email opens in Gmail.

Private by design

• Metadata-only Gmail access — no message bodies, no attachments
• Notifications show the watch name, not the email content
• OAuth tokens encrypted at rest, never sent to the browser
• Disconnect anytime. Delete everything in one click.

The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Where to find it

• The web app at onwatch.tech, which works in your browser and sends notifications even when the tab is closed.
• The optional browser extension on Microsoft Edge Add-ons. The Chrome Web Store version is in review.

Who's behind it

OnWatch is created by Micah Smith and operated by KMG Equity LLC, based in Sacramento, California.
